The wall that started it all

During the original March 2020 Covid lockdown, staring at a large, boring white wall, my kids and I decided to get brave and let loose on it. I’d worked illustrating before and the kids both loved drawing so we got stuck in and literally drew anything that came to mind. First we worked in pencil and then I coloured over the lines in black acrylic paint, creating a massive one-of-a-kind mural in their playroom. Our friends who were following our progress on social media all loved it and said we should do a colouring book or something and that 'they would buy it!'

All the free time in that initial strict lock down in New Zealand gave me time to truly think and reassess my priorities. I quit my job and decided to go for it with Boopino!

Boopino is an old nickname from my crazy, carefree times studying to be a knicker designer in the early 90's at Leicester Poly, UK.  Now it’s our team name. I love being inspired by and working with my kids. I’m excited to see where this takes us and see the difference we can hopefully make.

Since having the privilege of becoming a parent, I’ve admired the work that ECPAT do protecting children, so this is the charity we have chosen to support with funds and raising awareness.

Thank you for your support and interest in our journey. If you’d like to follow us please add us on social media and /or subscribe to our email newsletter. Lots-a-love.
